I move between two ways of seeing — the camera and the pencil. One catches what's already there; the other builds what could be.

Most of my photographs are at the edge of something: open water, last light, the quiet before a dive. My drawings pull in the other direction — warm interiors, portraits, cityscapes rendered in paint and line.
